Open-Source Carbon Footprint Estimator: Development and University Declination

Anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions need to be cut limit climate change. Thus, universities, in the same way as citizens and companies, are starting raise awareness about this issue take action reduce their carbon footprint. Centrale Nantes, a French “Grande école”, initiated low transition with calculation of 2018 footprint university. This report presents an individual estimator developed within scope university, based on new open-source national simulator called “Nos Gestes Climat” proposed by ABC (Association Bilan Carbone for implementation Carbon assessment)) ADEME (French Environment Energy Management Agency). Development context important features version described.
